You ran the bridges. Now let a nurse come to you.
Sunday, November 8, thousands of runners cross the finish line of the EQT Pittsburgh 10 Miler & 10K downtown. When the medal's around your neck and the legs start talking, Swan Hydration comes to you — home, hotel, or wherever you're landing — for post-race recovery support.
Athlete Recovery — $295. One visit, about an hour, with a registered nurse.
How race-weekend booking works
1. Book ahead — race weekend fills first. Pick your Athlete Recovery visit for after your finish on Sunday, Nov 8, or for Monday, Nov 9. A quick health screening and good-faith exam are part of booking, and a $50 deposit holds your visit.
2. We come to you. Your nurse arrives with everything needed — your couch beats a waiting room. Downtown hotels, homes across Pittsburgh and the South Hills.
3. About an hour, then rest. Fluids and electrolytes for rehydration support, with B vitamins to support normal energy as you recover. No travel fee, ever.
Why runners book it
- Rehydration support after a hard effort — ten miles (or 6.2) costs you more fluid than you think, especially in November layers.
- You don't drive anywhere. The nurse comes to you, 7am–10pm.
- Screened and nurse-led. Every visit is reviewed in advance and given by a registered nurse under a medical director's oversight.
- Code SWAN10 takes 10% off your first visit.
The honest part
An IV drip is recovery support — it does not treat an injury, it does not cure soreness, and it will not make you faster. Rest, food, fluids, and time do the heavy lifting; we help with the fluids part, at your door.
Two straight-talk notes:
- Competing in a drug-tested division? Skip us. IV infusions can violate anti-doping rules for tested athletes.
- Feeling seriously unwell — vomiting, confusion, chest pain, or you can't keep fluids down? That's urgent care or the ER, not a house call.
Bringing a crew?
Clubs, teams, and training partners: book back-to-back visits at one address and we'll line everyone up in one trip out. Coaches and club leaders — ask about a partner code for your members.
Good to know
- Race-weekend slots are limited — Swan is nurse-led and visits are booked in order. Sunday afternoon and Monday go first.
- Not racing but supporting one? Athlete Recovery makes a pretty good finish-line gift. Book it in their name and let them pick the time.
