How It Works — IV Therapy That Comes to You
New to mobile IV therapy? Here's exactly what happens, from booking to feeling better — no waiting room, no drive across town, no guesswork.
Step 1: Book online.
Pick your service and a time on our Appointments page. We're available 7am–10pm, 7 days a week, and booking takes a couple of minutes. Not sure which drip fits? Book a consultation, or call or text us at 412-312-4707 and we'll help you choose.
Step 2: Tell us about your health.
When you book, you'll answer a short intake form — your health history, current medications, and allergies. Your nurse reviews it before your visit. That's how we make sure what you booked is appropriate for you, and it's why some services are provided only when medically appropriate.
Step 3: We come to you.
Your nurse arrives at your home, workplace, hotel, or event with everything needed. Swan Hydration is nurse-led and RN-owned, founded by Mercedes Denham, RN, BSN, a Pittsburgh-area nurse with 17+ years of experience, and we operate under a medical director. Before anything starts, your nurse goes over your health review with you in person.
Step 4: Relax while it drips.
The IV goes in — most people describe a quick pinch, like a blood draw — and then you settle in. Read, work, watch a show, nap. Plan on about an hour for most visits, start to finish; your nurse will confirm the timing for your specific drip when you book. Your nurse stays with you and monitors you the whole time.
Step 5: Done — get on with your day.
The IV comes out, we pack everything up, and you carry on. No recovery room, no drive home.
Good to know
- Where we treat: anywhere in our Pennsylvania service area — Allegheny, Washington, Beaver, Butler, Westmoreland, Fayette, and Greene counties — with a comfortable place to sit or recline. See our Maps Service Area page for details.
- What to have ready: a comfy spot, something light to eat and some water beforehand, and a sleeve that gives easy access to your arm.
- Groups and events: weddings, corporate wellness days, parties — yes, we do them, and everyone still gets an individual health review. See our Weddings, Event service, and Corporate Wellness pages, or contact us to plan.
- Who shouldn't get a drip: some health conditions and medications mean IV therapy isn't appropriate. If that's you, we'll tell you honestly — ask us before you book if you're unsure.
