The Wedding Day Timeline: Where a Mobile IV Visit Fits

Your wedding day goes fast — everyone tells you that, and everyone is right. What they don't tell you is how physical it is: early start, little food, champagne math, hours on your feet, and a lot of feelings. Here's the day the way I see it as a nurse, with the two places a mobile IV visit honestly fits.

The day before, and the morning of

The day before: real sleep, a real dinner, water through the day, and everything laid out tonight — not tomorrow. The morning of: eat an actual breakfast, and water before champagne. This is the first place a visit fits — a nurse can come to the getting-ready room and run hydration for the whole party while hair and makeup happen. Nobody leaves, nobody's late, and the day starts hydrated instead of behind.

During, and the morning after

During: alternate champagne with water, eat when food appears, sit down once in a while. You'll thank yourself by the last dance. And the morning after — the party was worth it; now it's fluids, vitamins, and your own couch. That's the second fit, and it's our Hangover & Recovery drip ($259), booked for plenty of wedding parties before the first toast is even poured.

Swans mate for life. We picked the name for a reason. See how we handle wedding days on our Weddings page.

One more thing couples tell us afterward: it was rarely just the bride or groom who needed it. The getting-ready room holds mothers, attendants, and at least one person who flew in the night before. A group visit is one nurse, everyone screened, everyone settled before the first photograph — the calmest hour of the day, by several accounts.
